Create Balance For Busy People

workLifeBalance Create Balance For Busy People

Sometimes I find myself feeling a bit nervous at the prospect of all that needs to be done. What’s that you say? Yes, I have a balance for busy people. Yet I sometimes fall into the trap of focusing on other people’s needs and priorities, rather than on their own balance sheets. Courtesy of University “Virtual Training Program” Help least I can now recognize when this happens and began steps to correct the problem.

During my course at AssistU, take time for your life by Cheryl Richardson’s required reading. This is where I first heard of “extreme self care” in length. If I find myself overwhelmed, I find useful to review the guidelines Cheryl. Here are a few that can help:

* First, keep track of where your time is currently spent on (work, attend meetings, commuting, volunteering, studying, responding to calls / emails, tasks, spending time w / husband, spending time w / kids, sleep, etc.). This exercise can produce some very surprising results.

* In addition, the total time per week on each activity. NOTE – there are 168 hours available per week. Where the most time is where your priorities right now, whether it’s a conscious choice or not.

Now, redefine your priorities based on what you really want to spend your time (“shall”, not “must”). These new priorities’ list of absolute yes “you.

* Make changes to a new respect for your priorities – if not in “absolute yes list” you, it has no place in your schedule.

Of course, you’re wondering what to do with all the things that must get done that do not fit what you want to spend your time. Here are some thoughts:

* If necessary and can only be done by you, such as health, legal affairs, etc., a timetable to deal with a focused and structured manner and give due priority – “just do it”

* Politely say no to that request a meeting or party invitation

* Reducing the burden of your studies

* Box up stacks of documents you’ve been meaning to sort, store in a closet for six months and that date on your calendar to mark. If you do not need anything out of the box in six months, the pitch without it. Great Feng Shui!

* Hiring a gardener, maid, concierge and / or a virtual assistant more free time on your calendar to focus your energy where you want

No, it will not change quickly or easily – do not deserve to ever have done – but still you and the life you want.
